Vietnam Maritime Agency Joint Stock Company – VOSA CORPORATION (Stock code: VSA) a member of Vietnam Maritime Corporation – JSC (VIMC) with the main field of activity is maritime services – warehousing, ship agent – liner agent, logistics has affirmed its prestige, name and makes a difference in the group of businesses in the field of maritime services – logistics.

Established on March 13, 1957, formerly known as Vietnam Shipping Agency Company – one of the first units of the maritime industry in Vietnam. Over 65 years of operation, from a shipping agency organization serving foreign ships carrying aid to Vietnam during the war years at Northern ports.

Up to now, VOSA has risen to be one of the leading enterprises in the field of maritime services and logistics in Vietnam, with a nationwide network of agents and branches and a network of partners in the Japanese, China, Korea, Europe, and America market.

With strong potential and a wealth of experience in the maritime and logistics fields, VOSA is confident to be a comprehensive maritime service provider in many fields: shipping agency, liner agency, shipping agent Loading – sea freight, road, air cargo, multimodal transport, chartering brokerage, logistics services, general cargo import and export, warehousing services, tally, temporary import for re-export, cargo transit, customs declaration…

Mr. Do Tien Duc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VOSA shared: “The overall orientation for the operation of the unit is to build “A unified system – People-centered – customer-centered”. with the spirit of professional and dedicated service for VOSA’s sustainable development, building the brand reputation of the unit to last with time.

Because VOSA is aware that customer satisfaction is always the most important factor in its development process. We understand that every effort in service quality of the business will always contribute to the future success of our customers.”

During the past, VOSA has continuously developed and expanded its business activities, at the same time, made investments to develop the areas where VOSA has strengths in all parts of the country and at the same time made joint ventures with other corporations to develop together.

With the right strategic direction, from an initial company established with only 8 members, VOSA has built for itself a system of 14 domestic branch units and 2 joint venture companies, increasing the number of employees to more than 500 people with deep expertise, fluent in common foreign languages, professional in the fields of maritime services and logistics.

Do Tien Duc, Chairman of VOSA’s Board of Directors said that in 2022, the COVID-19 epidemic will continue to affect the entire company and branches in all types of business, especially import and export services, marine.

In the world, there are still restrictions on travel, reducing production, and applying a blockade, especially in a large market like China for the “Zero COVID” policy, plus the war and instability situation between Russia and Russia. Prolonged Ukraine has caused an economic recession in Europe, the US, and some Asian countries.

Since then, the strong influence has caused prices to skyrocket, and tightening spending reduces consumer demand, leading to a decrease in goods output and revenue compared to 2021. Faced with the above difficult situation, to be able to complete the planned production and business in 2022, VOSA’s Board of Directors and all employees of the company have implemented solutions to strongly promote production and business activities, expand markets, and take special care of customers. after a long period of being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with that is focusing on the application of information technology in production and business. In addition, VOSA focuses on promoting all types of production and business that are less affected to compensate for those that are severely affected.

The company has researched and developed business activities associated with the interests of customers – Domestic and international shippers to always accompany shippers in most fields including trade from other service units.

As a result, in only 10 months of 2022, VOSA has exceeded the year’s target with a revenue of more than VND 1,400 billion, equaling 113% compared to the same period in 2021 and reaching 118% of the plan in 2022. Profit enterprises reached more than 52 billion dong, equal to 142% compared to the same period in 2021 and equal to 109% of the plan in 2022.

In the medium and long-term strategy, VOSA maintains and develops core businesses that are traditional shipping agency services – liner agency, transportation agency, warehousing, and logistics. The unit also deploys a river-sea container transport route, serving transshipment goods from deep-water ports to ports in the centers of major cities across the country, gradually completing door-to-door services.

In addition, VOSA maintains traditional customers in Japan, Korea, China, and other regions, focusing on developing the domestic market for customers who are shippers and manufacturing plants in Vietnam.

VOSA also cooperates with foreign logistics companies and global agency companies to expand relationships and services.

Leaders of Vietnam National Shipping Lines – VIMC shared that currently, the Corporation has focused on developing 3 core areas: shipping – port operation – maritime services. In 2022, maritime service activities will be heavily impacted by China’s strict application of the “Zero COVID” policy, and export volume will be congested and sharply reduced at the northern border gates.

In addition, fuel costs continuously increased sharply, which directly affected the operation of marine service enterprises. With the trend of corporations and production units directly performing logistics services, there is fierce competitive pressure from private enterprises (an absolute advantage in flexibility, and financial potential. ..), VIMC’s maritime services sector will continue to face many difficulties.

However, VOSA has had many solutions to complete the set targets and plans, contributing significantly to the Corporation’s overall achievements in production and business activities in 2022.
